Frequently Asked Questions

We've been asked a lot of questions about our hand-poured soy candles and wax melts. If we don't answer your question here, please reach out to us! We're here to help.

For our minimalist candles, we use a custom blend of soy wax and coconut wax - natural, sustainable,
vegan and non-toxic. The coconut wax (used for scent throw) is neutral in scent, as is the soy
wax (used for fragrance retention). You can expect an even and long-lasting burn from our candles.

Our wax melts use a custom soy wax blend that is combined with a food-grade paraffin. This wax combination we use is nontoxic (we certainly wouldn’t use it in our products nor would we want our customers, staff, family members, children and pets to be around something that is considered to be toxic or unhealthy).

Yes, the fragrance oils we use are safe for us to work with in our
studio and for you to enjoy as part of our candles in your home. We only procure the safest scents on the market, free of carcinogens, reproductive toxins, and other concerning chemicals like phthalates or parabens.

Our suppliers proudly adhere to “industry-leading safety standards” because safety matters when it comes to what we’re bringing into our homes!

While all of our premium candle scents do have essential oils in them as part of their scent, they are not pure essential oil candles. We generally prefer to use high-quality fragrance oils infused with essential oils because these oils will produce a stronger scent for you to enjoy while being more economically feasible.

Yes! Once there is about 1/4 inch of wax left, stop using the candle.
Use caution and care when removing the remaining wax, wicks and any
labeling. Our suggestion is to gently scrape out the wax and wicks/wick
stickers with a rigid silicone utensil (we don’t recommend knives or
other metal items) and discard all wax in the trash - never put wax down
the drain or garbage disposal. Then place the container in hot soapy
water to soften any residue and labels, and wash, rinse and dry. We do
not recommend scraping labels off as this might damage the surface of
the container. Containers may be put in dishwasher once all wax and
label residue is gone. Our wax melt tin can be wiped clean before use. Note: we assume no liability for candle
containers or subsequent results of reuse by the consumer, once
purchased.

Not at the moment, but we are working on that in the future! Look for a limited edition candle lines some day!
